The Esko CDI Crystal 5080 is the basis for an impressive reduction of complexity in the plate room. The new imager works with Crystal Technology, and is designed to connect seamlessly with the XPS Crystal digital UV exposure device. Combining high resolution fiber laser imaging from the CDI Crystal with the patented back and front UV LED exposure from the XPS Crystal is producing digital flexo plates with unique reproducibility and quality. The Esko CDI Crystal 5080 produces the perfect plate for all the flexo print applications that require high print output and stability on press.
With the CDI Crystal 5080 XPS, making flexo plates finally becomes a coordinated, linear process.
A full-sized flexo imager able to produce larger format price-effective plates for corrugated converters. Loading and unloading of large, thick plates is assisted by an air-supported loading table that makes it easy to move plates in place - securing them in place is just as easy with the Esko EasyClamp III pneumatic clamp. The CDI Spark 5080 Semi offers automated plate loading and semi automated unloading. The option guarantees safe and simple loading of the thickest plates without operator intervention.
